Ingredient Details & Benefits

Humic Substances

Humic is essentially the furthest state of biological and chemical degradation of once-living plant biomatter, which means they are one of the most rich organic substances available.

Humic substances 3 critical roles in plant-soil systems:

  • Stimulate root development

  • Retain macro & micronutrients in the soil

  • And help soils retain moisture, particularly under hot, dry conditions

But not all humic substances are alike.  Some humic substances bring little benefit to plant-soil systems. But LESCO CarbonPro-L uses the best available combination of highly purifiedhumic substances, sourced from leonardite ore, and microbially-extracted from composted vegetative tissue, both of which have been proven to drive maximum benefit to plants and soils.

CarbonPro-L contains 5% humic substances.

Sea Kelp

Kelp Extract

Kelp is a large family of marine plants found throughout the world’s oceans. Kelp extract contains a variety of compounds that are greatly beneficial to a plants health, including:

  • Complex sugars

  • Fatty acids

  • Vitamins

  • Micronutrients

  • And Alginic Acids

Numerous university studies have demonstrated that kelp extract can help fortify various plant species, including turfgrass, against a variety of abiotic stresses.  Specifically, kelp extract has been shown to be highly effective in helping plants cope with:

  • Saline soils

  • Extreme temperatures

  • Nutrient deficiencies

  • Prolonged drought

For those trying to grow turf, ornamentals, or trees in high-saline soils, or those trying to recover from the accumulation of ice-melt products after a harsh-winter, CarbonPro-L is the BEST solution. Prior to winter, CarbonPro-L is a great addition to your fall fertilizer treatment, helping to protect and prepare your turf and other plants against frigid temperatures and frost.

LESCO CarbonPro-L contains extract from the green kelp Ascophyllum nodosom, the most studied and best understood kelp species in our industry.

LESCO® CarbonPro™-L contains 5% kelp extract.

humic acid

Chelated Iron

Essential micronutrient because it synthesize chlorophyll, which is essential for GREENING.When iron is deficient,
plant production of chlorophyll diminishes. Resulting in yellowing, known as chlorosis.
There are many different
forms of iron available in the market.  The more soluble the form of iron, the faster that it can absorbed by the plant.

One of the most soluble forms of iron in the market is EDTA iron, the form used in LESCO® CarbonPro™-L.  EDTA iron is 100% soluble, making it the one of the best choices for yielding a quick green-up in plants.

LESCO® CarbonPro™-L contains .75% EDTA iron, which is MORE than enough to see a pronounced green-up in just a few days after application.

Microbial Metabolites

One of the most distinguishing ingredients in LESCO CarbonPro-L is its innovative microbial metabolite technology. Microbial metabolites are the biproducts of microbes, essential to healthy plant life but limited in unhealthy soil environments. They are crucial for optimal plant growth, defense, and reproduction.

The microbial metabolites in CarbonPro include:

  • Amino acids

  • Carbonates

  • Carbamates

  • Organic acids

  • Volatile organic compounds

  • fulvic acids

LESCO CarbonPro-L has a tremendous advantage over traditional microbial products on the market. Traditional products try to transfer live microbes to the soil, which risks microbe loss and offers limited dependability with microbe activity. LESCO CarbonPro-L emphasizing on providing the plant with what it needs most, the metabolites microbes create. Because LESCO CarbonPro-L is NOT dependent on keeping microbes alive, LESCO CarbonPro-L is more stable and effective, providing superior results.

MobilEx™

MobilEx™ is a proprietary, nutrient transport technology, exclusive to LESCO CarbonPro-L and one of the first of its kind in the industry. MobilEx helps solubilize macronutrients, such as phosphorus, and low mobility micronutrients, like  zinc, and drives them straight to the root system. Transporting them to where they are needed in the plant, like its important growth points.  MobilEx, in combination with CarbonPro-L’s other key components, helps increase the efficiency of your fertilizer applications, ensuring that you get better results and return on every nutrient input.
